LBH VIII with Drum-Modules Step Sequenzer Plug-In for SONIC CORE PLATFORM An 8 channel sequencer with virtually infinite steps and patterns where each channel can loaded either with oscillators, drum modules, or used with audio sources to be gated and filtered. LBH VIII is made to be played with a midi keyboard, generally with the left hand while the right hand plays the solo sounds on other synths. It can, of course, follow the notes of a midi sequencer. The patterns can be launched manually with buttons, or triggered by various note events. A special attention has been brought to the precision of sequencing, that can play along your favorite audio-midi sequencing software, and to the simplicity of the interface where all is about making the programming of all those step sequencers and modulators creative, fast and easy as can be, with the highest audio quality offered by the Scope DSP analog modelling: more than 30 preset-lists allow to recall various sections of the device, and to mix together rythms, melodies and kits from several presets. The templates and edit modes available to step-individual modulators and gate lines bring releif when it comes to editing the step-modulators and gate lines, making possible to do with a few clicks what would takes ages to edit on the high number of modulators of LBH VIII. The new drum modules and oscillators have also been designed to bring immediate results whatever is your music style, and are especially adapted to all styles from 80's new-wave to modern RnB, hip hip or house music. The ability to use drums or pitched-oscillators, or external audio, make the LBH VIII and extremely versatile rythmic tools, that should soon become one of your best friend for composition, production, or the simple joy of playing keyboards and sampler acompanied by a wild rythm station such as LBH VIII. check the sound samples The audio examples below are all recorded "live" with a midi keyboard and use simple kits made of T Drums and BlackBox II oscillators. Recorded at the outputs, as actual "live/direct" performances all done in the box, no sampling or extra effects. For more audio files and explanations, refer to the project tutorials. Pads and Guimbarde: "guimbarde" is the French for Jaw Harp or Mouth Harp, one of the oldest instrument in the world, in a synth version. LBH VIII can also do pads and modulations with no problem. Here, 4 T-Drums and 4 pitched oscillators. SlowFunk (110bpm): subtle changes in the grid (toms and percussion). Plucked (130bpm): simple changes of the solo rhythm create striking changes in the feeling. In this example, the cycle of 4 patterns is triggered independently from the melody played (ie, not retriggered by the player's keyboard in this mode, but from another midi channel). Dual Split 1 cycle: a bass in a disco style. 1cycle of 8 patterns retriggers each time a note is pressed, emphasis on the changes in the bass notes and modulations. At the end, some brass is played from an external sampler FAT Drums (130 bpm) playing with the length of the synth sounds, and slightly changing drums and modulation.
Bundle Offer: FP Mixer and FAT Inserts DSP Plug-ins
FP 104 and FP 106 Mixer Mixer Plug-in for SONIC CORE PLATFORM The FP mixers include a lot of nice and time saving features for everyday use in the SONIC CORE DSP powered platform. They are especially adapted to mixing groups and channels from audio sequencers. The mixers include 4 or 6 mono channels, 12 stereo channels, modulated filters, and 1 Fx Bus+ 3 Auxiliary send/returns. The Bus and Aux are equivalent to 4 inter-connected Auxiliaries, where the Bus allows to group channels for modulating or recording together. The Bus Fx can also be sent to each of the 3 Aux effects. On the FP Mixers, the Valve emulation has been replaced by an insert slot. They also include modulation inputs and provide a special Rec channel and individual presets for the Aux Fx, Master Fx, Mute groups, Insert Load state, Rec Channel Insert, and add presets for Labels, Colors, Lights, and Bus channel settings.
FB5 and V82 - Fat Valve Mixers Mixer Plug-in for SONIC CORE PLATFORM The FB5 and V82 Valve mixers are now released. Those heavy duty mixers are for large DSP setups and will bring you the sound of the FAT Inserts directly inside the mixer, with the addition of advanced live and studio features. Wether you use them to mix voices, drums or synthesizers, on stage or in the studio, the mixers will bring the addictive qualities of expensive hardware to your Scope environment. The additional features will let you experiment with effects and modulations in the easiest way ever offered by a mixer, while the dsp management will bring air each time you need to make room for more insert effects and devices. Serious performers will appreciate all the design and live preset list for mute and mix, auxiliary effects, and insert load state. BlackBox or RD filters owner will find new ways to achieve filter modulations and automated controls. It is of course fully midi CC compatible as per the standards explained in the manual, and built with an advanced mix-to-dsp architecture that will keep your dsp on sync and your dsp load clean and compact as you advance in your project.
FAT INSERTS Analog Touch Effects, Plug-in für die SONIC CORE PLATFORM Have you ever thought that your digital sounds might need a little something to make them sound even better? Ever wanted the subtle touch brought by expensive tube preamps? Open your ;ears, turn a knob, press a button, that’s all you need to know to work with the FAT Inserts. The SpaceF Fat Inserts give a Furiously Analog Touch to any sound source, including voices, acoustic, electric and software instruments, bass, drums and guitars. They are especially advised before any kind of compressors, limiters, aural exciter, eqs and filters. The 2-stages valve circuit helps in getting a subtle drive that does not sound acid, but continues the enhance the low end spectrum. The FAT Algorythm is not a distortion unit or a compressor: but they will make your distortions and compressions sound better, with a constantly low dsp use. The minimalist user interface reflects the purity of the internal algorithm, and the small size of the effect will be appreciated by those who want to keep an eye their project/mixers while editing the FAT Inserts. Last but not least: all parameters on the inserts’ panels can be remote controlled by midi, and midi assignments will survive switching your PC off if you save a project, meaning that you can permanently assign remote-controllers knobs/faders/buttons to the FAT Inserts parameters, making them available to your hardware controllers as soon as the project is loaded. More details
- The main difference between the version is the inclusion of a 12dB gain before the FAT algorithm ("G" version) or the presence of filters and insert slots ("C" versions).
- The "G" versions are useful for low volume sources. The version also include a vu meter with indications to help setting the optimal input gain ("beginners" mode). The Vu-meters can be switched to "input", "post-gain" (vu just after the gain, before the valve) and "output".
- The "C" versions ("C" for "channel") have a 3-mode resonant filter and 4 insert slots. They can be used in mixers which do not have a lot of insert slots, or in synths/effects effect slots.
- The filters will reveal very useful when working with synths or voices, and in any case often allows to save a band of your parametric eqs. The FAT Valve with little bit of low pass on softsynths or basses, or a bit of High Pass on voices, is all you need to produce vintage sounds.
- Finally, the core versions, FAT-M, FAT-S: these are the ones to use when you have more experience with the Fat inserts or when you don’t need filters and inserts, and want to insure the minimal dsp use. The absence of visual indicator is willingly to give back power to your ears rather than your eyes. Moreover, if you are using the FATs on tracks or groups from your favourite audio-sequencer, you generally don’t need a vu or a gain. And if you need one, just load one of the "G" versions.
